Desert Dancer

Congratulations to Omar Davis and his mare, Desert Dancer! Rusty covered her twice over the last two days. Tonight at 6:30 pm he finished and Omar took his mare home. This will be the first Mule for both of them.

I rode with Omar on Saturday between breed attempts. This nice tempered mare is Quarter horse/Thoroughbred, but moves out with a single-foot gait that I could hardly keep up with, and I'm usually out front. I can't wait to see the foal. Check back on her due date, March 9, 2009.

STILL WAITING FOR OUR DASH FOR CASH MULE FOAL...5-6 days overdue.

I didn't realize they carry their babies for almost a year! Wow! No, thanks! 9 months is long enough, and I wouldn't want a baby near as big either!!!

It cracks me up how straight-forward you are, Paul. You may not be talking about humans, but your talking about sex and a guy getting a girl pregnant just like it's just part of business. Oh yeah, it is part of your business! ;-) It's just so funny how you talk about it all. I have to say, that poor mare! :-)

I remember when I was a teenager talking about a cute guy, calling him a "stud." My parents, my dad in particular, did NOT like me using that term for a guy. I didn't understand why it was a big deal, though he explained what the term really meant in his day. Well, now understanding more, I'd have to agree with him. I don't think I'd want my daughter using that term for a guy either! I don't care how cute he is! :-)

A whole year? How have you been able to stand the wait? After a year what is 5-6 more days?!

Can't wait though! It is like waiting for a baby! A human one that is!

You know? One halmark of a great business is the quality of its service. All I can say is Rusty's service is TOP Quality because he REALLY loves his job. Rusty is a Stud! Good thing we don't show pictures of his tool--there would be panic in the streets (its the girth and length of a firehose).

BTW, this sure makes teaching the kids about the birds and the Asses a lot easier. Life isn't such a mystery when you see the glorious details played out in the animal kingdom.

...(i feel like a p!^p)

RE your last comment, Paul: That's kind of what I was thinking earlier that it sort of seems like, but I wasn't going to say it. Thanks for saying it for me so that I didn't have to! :-) P!^pDaddy Paul!!! :-)
